Settings in your browser

Small preferences, such as the choices you make on a page, may be saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us.

Character and item lookups

When you look up a character or item, we ask Blizzard's official API for its public profile data (such as level, class, guild and gear) and show it to you. Pages are cached for a short time (minutes for characters, a day for items) and never kept longer than 30 days. We don't store the searches you make or build profiles of players.

Guilds, realms and the weekly board

Guild pages show a guild's public roster from Blizzard's API. Realm status, Mythic+ affixes and the WoW Token price are public game data. The weekly board on your Saved page asks Blizzard for your saved characters' public progress this week; the list of characters itself stays in your browser.

Battle.net sign-in and saved characters

If you choose "Sign in with Battle.net", Battle.net asks for your permission and then sends us a one-time access key. We use it once to read your World of Warcraft character list (names, realms and levels) and then throw it away. We don't store your login, access key, email address or any account details, and we don't create an account for you.

The characters you import or add are saved in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. Remove them at any time on the Saved characters page, or by clearing your browser data. During sign-in we set one short-lived cookie (up to 10 minutes) to protect the sign-in from forgery; it's deleted when you return.

Streamers page

Our server asks Twitch's public API which listed streamers are live and what they're playing (about once a minute), their profile pictures and follower counts (twice a day), and the most-watched World of Warcraft streams right now. Nothing about you is sent to Twitch by our server.

If you search for a streamer who isn't on our list, our server sends the name you typed to Twitch's channel search. Streamers' profile pictures are loaded by your browser straight from Twitch's image server (static-cdn.jtvnw.net), so Twitch can see your IP address when those images load, like any image on the web. Twitch gets more information only if you follow a "Watch on Twitch" link.

Visitor statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies. It records things like the page you visited, the site that sent you here, your country, and your browser and device type. We use it only to see which pages are useful.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service.

Accounts

There are no Raidscribe accounts. Signing in with Battle.net only imports your character list, as described above.
